Moments like this remind me why I love what I do.

From evaluating world-class digital campaigns to celebrating winners in New York City, being part of The Webby Awards community continues to be one of the most meaningful professional experiences of my career.

Since 2023, I’ve served as an Associate Member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), the invitation-only organization behind The Webby Awards. As a judge, I review work across advertising, branded content, and digital innovation — projects that often shape cultural conversations far beyond their original platforms.

What makes this experience powerful is not just the prestige of the work being evaluated. It’s the responsibility.

Judging is not about personal taste. It’s about recognizing strategic clarity, creative courage, measurable impact, and ethical storytelling. It’s about understanding how ideas move people — and how they move markets.

This year in NYC, celebrating winners wasn’t just an event. It was a reminder of how digital creativity continues to evolve. The conversations were thoughtful. The work was bold. The community was global.

The Webby Awards represent more than recognition. They represent standards. Standards for originality. For execution. For responsibility in the digital age.

Grateful for the people, the conversations, and the creativity.

And grateful to be part of a community that continues to raise the bar.

—
Elen Gasparyan
Executive Creative Director
Associate Member, IADAS

Surrogacy Marketing Is Emotional Architecture

Surrogacy marketing is often misunderstood.

From the outside, it looks like content calendars, Instagram posts, ad campaigns, landing pages.
From the inside, it’s something much deeper.

Surrogacy marketing is architecture specifically, emotional architecture.

And real architecture is never built overnight.

Why Surrogacy Marketing Takes Time

In most industries, marketing can be fast.
Test ads. Change headlines. Optimize funnels.

Surrogacy doesn’t work like that because this work touches real lives, real bodies, real futures.

To build a surrogacy brand that people trust, you are not “launching content.”
You are building an ecosystem where every element supports emotional safety.

That usually takes a full year of intentional, layered work.

Not because agencies are slow
but because trust cannot be rushed.

What Emotional Architecture Actually Means

Emotional architecture is the invisible structure behind everything your audience sees and feels.

It’s the reason someone:

feels safe filling out a form

stays on a page instead of closing it

opens up on camera instead of shutting down

believes your brand without needing to be convinced

This architecture is built piece by piece:

Tone: not salesy, not clinical — human

Language: respectful, grounded, never transactional

Storytelling: real journeys, not marketing scripts

Visual presence: calm, warm, reassuring

Pacing: knowing when to explain and when to stay quiet

Miss one piece and the structure weakens.

The Hardest Part: Learning How to Speak to Surrogates and Intended Parents

The most difficult part of surrogacy marketing is not ads or algorithms.

It’s learning how to talk.

How to speak to:

surrogates who are strong, generous, and still vulnerable

intended parents carrying fear, hope, grief, and anticipation at the same time

You can’t copy language from another industry.
You can’t “borrow” tone from wellness or healthcare.

You must understand emotion before you ever create content.

That understanding comes from:

listening more than speaking

observing body language on and off camera

knowing when not to push a story

earning permission before asking for visibility

This is where most brands fail not because they don’t care, but because they rush.

Why This Touches Every Part of the System

When emotional architecture is done right, it informs everything:

Brand positioning → feels safe, not loud

Social media identity → consistent, calm, human

Video production → authentic, never performative

PR & editorial → credibility without exploitation

Ad targeting → respectful entry points, not pressure

Lead systems & CRM → supportive, not aggressive

Campaign planning → long-term trust, not short-term clicks

Nothing exists in isolation.

This is not “posting.”
This is designing an emotional system.

Why Everything Flows When Architecture Is Right

When the structure is built properly:

ads feel aligned instead of forced

stories feel natural instead of scripted

leads feel qualified instead of hesitant

teams feel confident instead of reactive

Marketing stops feeling heavy — and starts flowing.

That’s the power of emotional architecture.

This Is the Work Most People Don’t See

The best surrogacy marketing doesn’t scream expertise.
It feels safe enough to trust.

And that doesn’t happen by accident.

It’s intentional.
It’s layered.
It’s slow by design.

This is what surrogacy marketing truly takes —
and why the brands that understand this don’t just grow.

They last.

The post Building Trust: The Role of Emotional Architecture first appeared on Elen Gasparyan.

(And Why Human Behavior Always Comes First)

I didn’t start in marketing because I loved ads or trends.
I started because I was obsessed with how people think, hesitate, trust, and decide.

Before platforms.
Before algorithms.
Before funnels.

I’m Elen Gasparyan, a Los Angeles–based marketing strategist and brand architect, and my work is built on one belief:

If you don’t understand human behavior, marketing will always feel forced.

Marketing Didn’t Get Harder …

Audiences today don’t need more content.
They need clarity.

They feel when:

Messaging is rushed

Brands talk at them instead of with them

Strategies are built for clicks, not trust

That’s why I don’t run “campaigns” in isolation.
I build systems that guide people from confusion to confidence.

Not manipulation.
Not pressure.
Just alignment.

Why I Work Human-First (Before Platforms)

Every strategy I build starts with questions, not tactics.

What is your audience afraid to say out loud?

Where do they hesitate?

What needs to feel safe before they take action?

When brands speak the language people already think in, resistance disappears on its own.

I Don’t “Do Marketing.” I Architect Brands.

Marketing that works isn’t loud.
It’s clear.

As a brand architect in Los Angeles, my role is to:

Remove noise

Create structure

Protect trust

Build long-term systems instead of short-term wins

Whether I’m working in healthcare, wellness, surrogacy, fitness, construction, or manufacturing, the goal is always the same:

Make people feel understood before asking them to act.

Why Los Angeles Shaped My Way of Thinking

LA is fast. Competitive. Trend-driven.

If you don’t know who you are here, you disappear.

This environment taught me that:

Positioning matters more than volume

Story matters more than aesthetics

Consistency beats virality

Being a Los Angeles marketing expert isn’t about keeping up.
It’s about knowing what to ignore.

How an LA-Based Marketing Director Built the First System for Surrogacy Campaigns That Actually Work

In a world where most surrogacy agencies rely on emotional stories and hopeful messaging, Elen Gasparyan decided to take a different path — one built on structure, precision, and measurable results.

As the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Davel Creative Agency, a Los Angeles–based marketing company, Elen has led over 700 campaigns across industries. But her most transformative work came when she applied her proprietary system — the C.O.S.M.O.S. Method — to one of the most sensitive and misunderstood sectors in the world: surrogacy marketing.

“Most people guess if their surrogacy marketing will work,” Elen explains. “I wanted a way to know — before spending time, budget, or trust.”

The C.O.S.M.O.S. Method — short for Clarify, Observe, Shape, Materialize, Orchestrate, and Survey — is a six-phase analytical formula that evaluates, designs, and optimizes campaigns with measurable accuracy. It’s not a theory; it’s an officially recognized academic framework, published in the scientific collection of one of the most prestigious universities, and now applied globally across healthcare, tech, and lifestyle industries.

When introduced to surrogacy marketing, the method reshaped the way agencies communicate. Instead of pushing recruitment-style ads, campaigns began focusing on trust, education, and emotional intelligence — speaking to surrogates and intended parents as humans, not leads.

The results were immediate. Agencies like Joy of Life Surrogacy saw stronger engagement, higher lead quality, and lasting community growth. Each campaign was built with the same formula: clarify the message, observe audience emotion, shape the creative, materialize the visuals, orchestrate performance, and survey the impact.

“Surrogacy is not about selling — it’s about belonging,” says Elen. “When you respect that, marketing stops feeling transactional and starts building connection.”Today, Davel Creative Agency stands as one of the few firms in the U.S. specializing in surrogacy marketing, blending empathy with analytics. And at the center of it all lies the C.O.S.M.O.S. Method — the first scientific system that proved trust, creativity, and structure can coexist in one formula.

The post Scientific Formula for Surrogacy Marketing Success first appeared on Elen Gasparyan.

I’m a Creative Director specializing in surrogacy marketing, and over the past few years, I’ve learned that promoting surrogacy isn’t about recruitment — it’s about relationship.

Marketing Where Human Stories Come First

When I first started working with surrogacy and fertility agencies, I quickly realized how disconnected traditional marketing approaches were from the real emotion behind the process.
Most campaigns focused on “sign-ups” or “benefits,” treating surrogacy like a job listing.
But surrogacy isn’t a transaction. It’s one of the most intimate, emotional, and transformative journeys a woman can experience.

So I shifted the narrative. Instead of creating ads, I began creating stories.

Stories that highlight the why behind a woman’s choice to become a surrogate.
Stories that show intended parents not as clients — but as people building a dream.
Stories that build trust before anything else.

From Emotion to Strategy: The C.O.S.M.O.S. Method

I wanted a system that would protect that emotional integrity while still delivering measurable results — something structured, not guesswork.
That’s how I built the C.O.S.M.O.S. Method, a six-phase creative system that transforms emotion into strategy:

Clarify. Observe. Shape. Materialize. Orchestrate. Survey.

Every campaign begins with understanding — listening to real stories, capturing genuine moments, and then shaping them into content that resonates.
It’s not about manipulating emotion; it’s about honoring it with precision.

Joy of Life: The Campaign That Changed Everything

When Joy of Life approached us, they wanted to reach more women — but they didn’t want to sound like recruiters.
They wanted to connect.

We built campaigns like “Why I Said Yes,” “The Sisterhood Series” — content that invited real women to share their experiences in their own words.
Those stories didn’t just go viral. They started conversations.
They built a community where surrogates felt proud to share their journeys.

That’s when I knew: the future of surrogacy marketing isn’t about selling — it’s about seeing.

Why Los Angeles Is the Perfect Backdrop

Los Angeles is a city of stories — and that’s why it’s the perfect place for this kind of work.
It’s where technology, emotion, and culture collide.
From the creative studios in downtown to the family-focused communities in Pasadena, LA offers the energy and diversity that make these campaigns truly universal.

Surrogacy marketing here isn’t just about California — it’s about connection everywhere.
And being based in LA means working with teams, videographers, and storytellers who understand how to translate emotion into visuals people remember.

Redefining What “Marketing” Means in Surrogacy

At the end of the day, I don’t see myself as someone who “markets” surrogacy.
I help tell the stories that humanize it.
Because every woman who says yes deserves to be represented with sensitivity and respect.
And every agency that partners with us deserves to see that real connection brings real results.

That’s what I do —
I build strategy from empathy.
I turn emotion into structure.
And I help brands in one of the most sensitive industries in the world find their authentic voice.

Surrogacy Marketing Isn’t About Recruitment — It’s About Trust

When most people think of surrogacy marketing, they imagine recruitment ads — quick videos or flashy posts saying, “Become a surrogate.”
But that’s the biggest mistake agencies make.

Surrogacy marketing isn’t just about finding candidates — it’s about building trust, community, and emotional connection.
It’s about understanding that behind every message, there’s a story — a woman considering one of the most selfless decisions of her life.

That’s where my framework, The C.O.S.M.O.S. Method, comes in.

A Different Approach to Surrogacy Marketing

My name is Elen Gasparyan, and I specialize in surrogacy and fertility marketing here in Los Angeles.
Through my agency, Davel Creative, I’ve worked with surrogacy agencies and fertility centers across California to help them connect authentically with their audiences — not just through ads, but through meaningful storytelling.

We use The C.O.S.M.O.S. Method, a six-phase framework I developed to evaluate and build marketing campaigns that actually resonate.

Each phase — Clarify, Observe, Shape, Materialize, Orchestrate, and Survey — ensures every campaign isn’t just creative, but deeply human.

Why Most Surrogacy Campaigns Fail

Most agencies focus only on conversion.
They talk about “compensation,” “benefits,” or “eligibility.” But the truth is, the decision to become a surrogate isn’t transactional — it’s emotional.

Our campaigns start from empathy: the why behind every surrogate’s “yes.”
We highlight stories of strength, connection, and sisterhood, not statistics.
That’s why brands like Joy of Life Surrogacy have built thriving online communities and organic engagement — because their content makes people feel seen, not sold to.

Creating a Real Digital Presence

Modern surrogacy marketing requires more than ads — it requires an ecosystem.
At Davel Creative, we build that ecosystem through:

Compelling video storytelling and reels

Targeted social media advertising that respects platform policies

Emotion-driven copywriting and visuals

Community engagement strategies (such as webinars, testimonials, and educational series)

Our goal is always the same: to turn surrogacy marketing into a space of empowerment and connection.

The Future of Surrogacy Marketing

The industry is changing. Transparency and authenticity now matter more than ever.
When agencies focus on education and trust rather than recruitment, they attract stronger candidates — women who see surrogacy not as a job, but as a journey.

That’s the future I help agencies build — one campaign, one story, one heartbeat at a time.

Known for her artistry, precision, and pioneering approach to closed rhinoplasty, her work has been featured in Haute Living, LA Weekly, Bustle, Woman’s World, and Hype Magazine.

When she partnered with Davel Creative Agency, our goal wasn’t to create fame — it was to translate her philosophy into a brand system that resonated deeply with women across generations. Using The C.O.S.M.O.S. Method, we transformed her expertise into a cohesive narrative of confidence, natural beauty, and self-respect.

Clarify
We clarified her message: beauty should enhance, not erase. Her approach to ethnic rhinoplasty — where preserving identity is not optional but essential — became a core pillar of the brand. Every touchpoint needed to reflect her belief in harmony, not exaggeration, and in closed rhinoplasty as a technique that protects natural structure without visible scars.

Observe
We analyzed media trends and audience sentiment across beauty and wellness platforms. Women weren’t looking for a new face — they were looking for trust, honesty, and a surgeon who respects individuality.
This insight shaped every piece of communication.

Shape
Her messaging was shaped around empowerment.
“Refine, don’t erase.”
“Confidence first, beauty follows.”
These became emotional anchors — especially meaningful for women seeking natural, identity-preserving results in ethnic rhinoplasty.

Materialize
The results came to life through major media features including Haute Living, Bust Magazine, LA Weekly, Woman’s World, and USA Today.
Her philosophy reached even wider audiences through two in-depth podcast conversations with Chase Chewning, where she opened up about closed rhinoplasty, identity, and the artistry behind her signature natural approach.
Each piece highlighted the same idea: authentic beauty, emotional intelligence, and technical mastery.

Orchestrate
We built an orchestrated content system — consistent press storytelling, strategic social presence, and patient education campaigns that positioned her as a thought leader in aesthetics, especially in the areas of ethnic and closed rhinoplasty.

Survey
Within months, her digital presence expanded globally. She became a trusted voice for women seeking natural results and a deeper understanding of beauty that honors their individuality and heritage.

Today, Dr. Chobanian’s brand stands as a reflection of what happens when creative strategy meets purpose — and when The C.O.S.M.O.S.
The biggest mistake most people make in surrogacy marketing?
They make it all about recruitment.

Everywhere you scroll, you see the same ads —
“Become a surrogate.”
“Earn money by helping a family.”
“Apply now.”

That’s not marketing.
That’s noise.

And it’s why so many surrogacy agencies struggle to connect with the right women.

Because surrogacy marketing isn’t about filling forms or chasing numbers — it’s about emotion.
It’s about trust.
It’s about building a community around one of the most sensitive, meaningful experiences a person can go through.

When my team at Davel Creative Agency, a surrogacy marketing company based in Los Angeles, works with fertility clinics and surrogacy programs, we don’t sell — we storytell.
We create campaigns that sound human, not corporate.
That feel personal, not promotional.

Projects like “Why I Said Yes,” “Tia Talk,” and “The Sisterhood Series” weren’t made to recruit — they were made to connect.
They showed the real women behind surrogacy — their courage, fears, and reasons why they said yes.

That’s the difference between surrogacy advertising and surrogacy storytelling.
One converts applications.
The other builds trust for life.

So if you’re a surrogacy agency or fertility center trying to grow your reach, stop thinking like a recruiter.
Start thinking like a storyteller.
Because when people trust you, they don’t just apply — they join your mission.

The post The Biggest Mistake People Make in Surrogacy Marketing first appeared on Elen Gasparyan.
